MCCONNELL/HAUSER is a full service film and video production and post-production company in New York and Los Angeles.
Formed in 2005, MCCONNELL/HAUSER has produced a range of award-winning work from narrative and documentary films, TV commercials, music videos, social media marketing and video art installations.
Partners Sam McConnell and Lukas Hauser work with talented teams of writers, producers, cinematographers, composers, editors, and animators. Together, we offer creative solutions from concept development through the production process and final deliverables. In everything we do, we aim to bring a filmmaking sensibility with an emphasis on storytelling.

Lukas specializes in editing and post-production, as well as writing and directing. He edited and helped produce the documentary “The Black List” which played at the Sundance Film Festival and aired on HBO. Lukas also holds an MFA in film from Columbia.
SAM McCONNELL
PARTNER
Sam specializes in producing and directing and enjoys the hands-on and collaborative nature of filmmaking. Recently, he produced the HBO documentary “The Out List” with Timothy Greenfield-Sanders. He is the director of three short films, all of which have played in festivals around the US and internationally. His next narrative project is the feature adaptation of the acclaimed novel, “In the City of Shy Hunters,” by Tom Spanbauer. Sam holds an MFA in film from Columbia’s School of the Arts.
