McConnell/Hauser is a full-service film and video production and post-production company based in SoHo, New York.

Sam McConnell and Lukas Hauser met in 2001 while pursuing their MFA degrees at Columbia University’s graduate film school. During that time they began collaborating on projects with clients such as HBO, Merck and Hearst Corporation. They formed McConnell/Hauser Inc. in 2005.

Their work spans narrative and documentary films, commercials, web series, music videos, PSAs, and video art installations. They collaborate with a talented team of cinematographers, editors, designers, special effects artists and animators, many of whom they have been working with since film school.

Recent commercial work include The Cube Project with Esquire Magazine, a documentary on feminist icon Helen Gurley Brown, and projects with Diane Von Furstenburg, Dior, The Make-A-Wish Foundation, and The American Red Cross.

McConnell/Hauser has also been the production entity for several film projects. Sam has directed three short films (Horseyboy, Seeing You In Circles, and Twoyoungmen, UT) all of which have played in festivals internationally. Seeing You In Circles was acquired by MTV Networks and aired frequently on the LOGO network. Sam's next film project will be the feature length adaptation of Tom Spanbauer's novel "In the City of Shy Hunters."

Lukas’s film credits include the short Human Beat Box, which he wrote and directed, and HBO's The Black List volumes 1 and 2, which he served as editor and associate producer, respectively. The Black List: Volume One played to rave reviews at Sundance 2008 and AFI Dallas, at which it won the audience award, and also won the 2009 Image Award for Best Documentary. McConnell/Hauser supervised the post-production of Volume 2, including title design and motion graphics.
